Schomp Subaru Loves The Earth 2022 Events

At Schomp Subaru, we love to see our community GROW!

Village Exchange Center

Our friends at the Village Exchange Center work hard to maintain a community garden located at Stanley Marketplace to help feed and nurture the Aurora community. The Village Farm provided 2,400 lbs of fresh and culturally-relevant produce to families in need last year while also serving as a gathering space for cultural exchange, education, and celebration.

Schomp Subaru volunteers will be visiting the garden this spring as a part of our Subaru Loves The Earth event to assist in planting fresh herbs and vegetables and putting the finishing touches on the new shed.

We anticipate the project to be completed this month, so the next time you are shopping or dining at the Stanley Marketplace, go check out the revitalized garden and all of the hard work that was put into this beautiful community space by the Village Exchange Center!

Carbon Offset Program

This April, Schomp Subaru is also working with the Carbon Offset Company to sponsor a full year of offset costs for all of our new Subaru customers to help reduce their carbon footprint. Approximately 15 trees will be planted for every new or used vehicle purchase made between April 1 and April 30, 2022!

Terracycle

Another one of the many ways Schomp Subaru connected to our community and our local natural spaces is through our Subaru Loves the Earth Initiative with TerraCycle. Over the past three years, Schomp Subaru has partnered with TerraCycle® to collect hard-to-recycle trash in Zero Waste Boxes™ located inside our showroom. Now we are helping to transform this trash into useful, durable goods that benefit our communities.

Subaru Loves The Earth

One of the many ways our retailers are connected to our communities and their local natural spaces is through our Subaru Loves the Earth Initiative. Preserving the environment for future generations and showing our love by giving back, it’s one more reason why Subaru is more than a car company.

Subaru Of America understands its responsibility to the global environment, society at large, our customers, our distribution network, and our employees. From becoming the first and only U.S. auto plant to be designated a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation to our ongoing zero-landfill partnership with the National Parks, Subaru is dedicated to preserving the natural world.
